Medical equipment in the fight against COVID-19
The campaign, organized in 2020, aims to raise funds for the purchase of high-class UV-C disinfecting machines for country hospitals in need, which treat patients with COVID-19. The idea is to create a safer environment in medical institutions for doctors, medical staff and patients. At that time, hospitals were spoken of in military terminology – “battlefield”, “front line”.
The campaign raised funds for the purchase of 17 high-end UV-C disinfecting machines. They were donated to hospitals in 9 districts of the country – Vidin, Sliven, Yambol, Pleven, Pernik, Vratsa, Plovdiv, Targovishte and Teteven.
The campaign helped at a particularly difficult time at the hospital in Vidin, when there was an outbreak of infection.
